Itsik Zohar, one of the Israeli Soccer's most colorful
figures, joined Beitar on the summer of 1996, after several months of rumors
about this transaction. Formerly the superstar of Maccabi Tel Aviv, Itsik
was loaned to Beitar from his former Belgian team, F.C. Antwerp. He is
a playmaker, and is a member of the Israeli National squad, sometimes
in the opening squad. Itsik's strong points are his powerful, accurate and
sophisticated kicks, and a phenomenal control of the ball.
